Marion County received an ODOT grant for safety improvements along Shaff Road, in Stayton, OR, immediately south of Stayton Middle School. Improvements included construction of a new sidewalk that will connect an existing pedestrian path to N. Gardner Avenue (approximately 300 feet), construction of ADA compliant curb ramps for the east-west crossing of Gardner Avenue and the north-south crossing of Shaff Road, and installation of Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (signals), signage and surface markings to enhance crossing visibility and safety.
