Lost & Found Dogs
Marion County Dog Services and shelter staff are committed to helping all lost dogs find their way home.
Please note: We check everyone's photo ID. Please come prepared with photo ID if you are visiting the shelter for adoption, redeeming a dog, stray dog drop-off, or to inquire about volunteering.
Lost Your Dog?
If you have LOST your dog and would like to post him/her on our Lost Dogs page, please
click here. Once on the Lost Dogs page, click "Login" to create an account. You will be prompted to answer questions about your missing dog and will be asked to upload a photo. Once your post is approved, your dog will be added to the Lost Dogs page. Don't forget to check the
FOUND DOGS listings to see if your dog is currently at our shelter, or is being cared for by the person that found him/her.
If you find that your dog is at our shelter, please call (503) 566-6988 to make an appointment to claim your dog.
Found A Dog?
If you have FOUND a dog and plan to keep him/her while you try to locate an owner,
click here to post information about the dog. You will need to click "Login" and create an account in order to make a post. Be sure to include a photo of the dog! Once your post is approved, the dog will be added to our Lost Dogs page.
If the dog you have found is wearing a Marion County license tag, you can
click here to see if the dog is in our system and help reunite the dog with his/her owner.
If you have found a dog and would like to bring him/her to our shelter, please call (503) 566-6988 to make an appointment.
Marion County Dog Licensing
Did you know that Marion County residents are required to license their dogs? Lost dogs wearing current license tags have a much better chance of being reunited with their families. Plus, license fees enable us to help other lost dogs in our community!

Please Note: Marion County Dog Services does not take owner surrendered dogs. If you wish to re-home your dog, please contact the Oregon Humane Society-Salem Campus at (503) 585-5900.
