In December 2023, a landslide covered North Fork Road at approximately milepost 3.0 (map at bottom of page). County crews immediately worked to remove debris, provide temporary countermeasures, and restore two lane access. The photos below represent the before and after of this work.
The repair contract, awarded to North Santiam Paving, included a rock buttress to permanently mitigate the slide at this location. This county funded work required an around-the-clock single lane closure with a temporary signal for safety.
Construction is complete.
