The Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Woodburn provides crisis intervention services Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Our purpose is to serve any person who is in a mental health crisis and needs immediate intervention. Anyone who believes themselves to be in a mental health crisis is eligible to be seen. Examples of a mental health crisis include:
- Suicidal thinking
- Feeling unable to cope with life stressors
- Psychotic behavior
A spectrum of resources is available to BHCC staff when helping people in crisis. Some of these resources include:
- Psychiatric hospitalization
- Crisis respite
- Referrals to long-term outpatient services for counseling
- Connection to a primary care physician
- Psychiatric prescribing services
- Addiction treatment services
Individuals will be evaluated by a Qualified Mental Health Professional who will provide a face-to-face assessment and crisis counseling. We also offer telephone triage, support, and referral. Our Qualified Mental Health Associates help monitor individuals, provide support, and assist in accessing necessary services.
