Rent Well Workshop Series
Looking for ways to strengthen your rental application and increase your housing opportunities? The Rent Well Workshop Series helps participants build the skills and knowledge needed to become successful renters.
During this free six-session workshop, participants will learn practical strategies for navigating the rental process, communicating with landlords, and maintaining stable housing. A meal will be provided at each session, and transportation assistance may be available.
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, and 24, 2026. Additional workshops will be offered throughout the year.
Time: 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Location: Marion County Health & Human Services, 3180 Center St. NE, Silver Falls Conference Room (1st Floor), Salem
Registration deadline: September 3, 2026
Participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Serious mental illness or serious and persistent mental illness
- Substance use disorder
- Intellectual or developmental disability. Anyone who attends all workshop sessions and completes their presentation folder may qualify for up to $1,600 in deposit and application assistance.
