As of December 7, 2022, the Permit to Purchase implementation has been delayed. The Marion County Sheriff's Office is not currently accepting Permit to Purchase applications due to court action.
With the passage of Ballot Measure 114, we know there are a lot of questions regarding the requirements under the measure. Although we do not have all the answers, we're actively working with the Oregon State Sheriff's Association and Marion County Legal Counsel to assess the required processes we need in place to enact the requirements of Measure 114.
