Student Opportunities for Achieving Results (SOAR)
Students in the SOAR (Student Opportunities for Achieving Results) program have a special chance to succeed in life by working. This innovative program is made possible through the teamwork of Chemeketa Community College, Marion County Parole & Probation, and MCHHS.
By learning new skills and ways of thinking, SOAR participants can reunite with their families and return to the community. SOAR program services include:
▪ Treatment Educational Component for clients involved in the Justice System
▪ Help with job readiness (applications, mock interviews, and resume building)
▪ Assistance with getting a GED or further schooling
▪ Learning and using prosocial skills
▪ Professional mentorship and ongoing support
