His Place opened in April 2023. It offers substance use disorder treatment with supported housing for fathers who have dependent children. There is also onsite children available while fatehrs attend treatment appointments.
This program fills an important gap in the community. There are many treatment programs for mothers, but few for fathers. Most treatment and housing programs for men do not allow children to live with them.
His Place gives fathers a safe home where they can support each other, feel connected, and be part of a community. It helps them stay sober while they continue to parent their children.
Some services at His Place include:
▪ Assessment - We meet with you to learn about your needs and goals.
▪ Onsite, staff-supervised visits with children involved with Child Welfare - Staff support and supervise visits between fathers and their children.
▪ Transitional Housing - A safe place to live while you rebuild your life.
▪ Living Skills Services - Help with daily skills like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and planning.
▪ Outpatient Services - Treatment and support services for men who need childcare during treatment appointments.
▪ Peer Delivered Services - Support from people who have their own lived experience with recovery.
▪ Focus of parent/child reunification - Help for dads and children to safely come back together.
▪ Safety Service Provider for Child Welfare - We partner with Child Welfare to help keep children safe.
▪ Onsite Childcare for Treatment Groups - Staff care for your children while you attend treatment groups.
*Children up to five years old, at the time of admission, can live with their dads at His Place.
