Summary of Services
The tuberculosis (TB) program provides assessment for active (contagious) TB disease. Other program services include:
- Case management
- Contact investigation
- Community outreach
- Education
Staff provide TB testing and treatment to contacts of active TB cases. Clients who meet the priorities for services are provided with language-appropriate education, medical evaluation, and medication management. The TB program staff are also available for consultation with outside agencies and questions from our community.
The Marion County TB program does not offer occupational health testing for TB.
Residents who have a personal physician and/or healthcare provider are encouraged to follow-up with their provider for latent (non-contagious) TB care.
Fees for services do apply, however, no one is turned away because of inability to pay.
