Brooks Community Service District

Located to the northeast of Salem, the Brooks Community Service District (BCSD) is a Special District formed in 1989 to provide sewer services to the residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the area. The Brooks sanitary district is a collection and treatment system, meaning the septic tanks are part of a Septic Tank Effluent Pumping system which pumps effluent liquid waste into a pressurized mainline which then forces flows to a District owned and maintained lagoon.
The Brooks Community Service District (BCSD) also provides commercial water services to a small number of businesses in the area. Chemeketa Community College is the owner of a small community water system that provides the water to the BCSD commercial customers. Residential sewer customers typically have individual wells or are provided water by a different small water system in the area.

The Brooks Community Service District Advisory Committee is made up of residents and business owners in the Brooks community. The Advisory Committee meets at minimum once per year with BCSD staff to get updates on district happenings and give input on financial and operational issues. Interested in joining?
