Marion County Board of Commissioners recognize outstanding volunteers with annual volunteer awards. Volunteers are recognized in 5 categories: Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year (age 14-17 yrs), Advisory Board Volunteer of the Year, Outstanding Department Volunteer Award (18+ yrs), Commissioner Mary Pearmine Outstanding Volunteer Group Award, and the Judge Rex Hartley Volunteer of the Year Award. Anyone may nominate a county volunteer or group for this annual recognition! Nominations will be accepted through 5:00pm, Friday, March 28, 2025 April 4, 2025.

Specifically, you can edit your submission up until you check the final question "Yes, I am ready to submit my nomination". You will see a confirmation screen if you have successfully submitted a nomination.

Each year the Board of Commissioners recognize our volunteers for their outstanding service to a county department, division or program. On July 10th Commissioners Kevin Cameron and Colm Willis, with help from Sheriff Hunter, honored volunteers for their outstanding service in 2023. Nominees and their guests, nominators, and department leadership joined us to recognize the following volunteers for their dedication and service to others.
