Marion County Board of Commissioners recognize outstanding volunteers with annual volunteer awards. Volunteers are recognized in 5 categories: Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year (age 14-17 yrs), Advisory Board Volunteer of the Year, Outstanding Department Volunteer Award (18+ yrs), Commissioner Mary Pearmine Outstanding Volunteer Group Award, and the Judge Rex Hartley Volunteer of the Year Award. Anyone may nominate a county volunteer or group for this annual recognition!
Each year the Board of Commissioners recognize our volunteers for their outstanding service to a county department, division or program. On July 10th Commissioners Kevin Cameron and Colm Willis, with help from Sheriff Nicholas Hunter, honored volunteers for their outstanding service. Marion County Emergency Management Director Greg Walsh joined to present the award to Katherine Sullivan. Nominees and their guests, nominators, and department leadership joined us to recognize the following volunteers for their dedication and service to others. Congratulations to the nominees and award recipients!
