As part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Mill City Historic Railroad Bridge, Marion County Public Works and the Save Our Bridge Committee of Mill City hosted a photo contest capturing images of the bridge in four diverse categories: Architectural Features, Community Life, Natural Setting, and Seasonal.
A panel of judges met and chose one grand prize winner and four category winners.
All the winners were honored at the Mill City Historic Railroad Bridge Centennial Celebration on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
The four category winners each received a $125 cash prize and the grand prize winner received a $500 cash prize, which was generously donated by Santiam Hospital of Stayton. Their photos will also be displayed at Mill City and Marion County Public Works offices.
