About Fresh Start Market and Espresso
The Fresh Start Market and Espresso is a new program at the Marion County Juvenile Department. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for youth to pay back restitution to victims of crime while leaning job skills. The youth learn skills related to customer service, handling cash, barista, merchandizing, stocking and various other tasks oriented towards daily operational duties.
The Fresh Start Market and Espresso, along with the Community Connections Center are located at 3020 Center St. NE in Salem. The phone number for the market and catering orders is 503-585-4956. The market offers a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, soups, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, firewood, kindling, hand crafted items, and holiday gifts. The Fresh Start Market's operating hours are from 7:00am to 4:30pm Mon-Friday, closed on County Observed Holidays.
The Community Connections Center is available to non profit groups and government agencies during normal working hours. Catering is available. The Community Connections Center is free unless food is brought in from the outside. When food is brought in from home or an outside vendor a $45.00 cleaning fee is required.
