License Suspension
A parent owing over $2,500 in past due child support may have his/her driver's or other state granted licenses, such as business licenses, suspended.
To avoid suspension of your license(s) once the state sends you a notice of intent to suspend your license, you must contact our office within 30 days and sign and comply with a payment agreement.
The state will reinstate your suspended license(s) if you make a substantial payment towards your arrears and sign a compliance agreement. You may have to pay a reinstatement fee to the licensing agency (such as the Department of Motor vehicles). Once reinstated, your license(s) will be subject to resuspension if you do not continue to make the payments required under your compliance agreement.
