Student Opportunities for Achieving Results (SOAR)
Individuals that participate in the Student Opportunities for Achieving Results (SOAR) program have a unique opportunity to succeed in life by working. This innovative program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of Chemeketa Community College, Marion County Parole & Probation, and MCHHS.
By learning new skills and ways of thinking, SOAR program participants are reunited with their families and back into the community. SOAR program services include:
▪ Treatment Educational Component for Clients involved in the Justice System
▪ Assistance with employment readiness (applications, mock interviews, and resume building)
▪ Assistance with completing GED, or further schooling
▪ Learning and utilizing pro-social skills
▪ Professional mentorship and ongoing aftercare
