Marion County Plat Checking Fees and Deposits

The checking fees for all Partition, Subdivision, Condominium, and Cemetery plats within Marion County (except City of Salem plats - see City of Salem fees below) will be charged actual cost, with an initial deposit. The deposit shall be paid in full prior to the plat review.

In the event that the deposit amount is less than the actual cost of the plat review, the remaining cost shall be paid prior to plat approval by the County Surveyor. Any deposit money remaining upon completion of the plat review (except post-monumentation subdivisions, see below) shall be refunded within 60 days of plat recording.

Partitions 

(1 to 3 Parcels) - Actual Cost with $725.00 Deposit + Assessor Processing Fee and Clerk Recording Fees    

Fully Monumented Subdivisions 

Actual Cost with $775.00 + $60.00/Lot Deposit + Assessor Processing Fee and Clerk Recording Fees 

Post Monumented Subdivisions

Actual Cost with $1,000.00 + $65.00/Lot Deposit + $40.00/Lot Additional Post-Mon for City of Keizer Centerline Monuments + Assessor Processing Fee and Clerk Recording Fees    

• Interior Monument Field Checking

  Additional deposit money may be required prior to plat approval by the County Surveyor to cover the cost of field checking the interior monuments. These monuments will be set at a later time, after the recording of the plat.  Any deposit money remaining upon completion of the field checking of the interior monuments shall be refunded within 60 days of the recording of the post-monumentation affidavit.

• Gating of Public Rights-of-Way 

  $2500.00 + Clerk Recording Fees for Removal Agreement

County Fees for Plats within the City of Salem 

The Marion County checking fee for property line adjustments and processing fee for plats within the City of Salem must be paid before recording.
