Adopt-A-Park Program
Marion County's Adopt-A-Park program is part of an effort to increase community involvement in preserving our county parks. The program is voluntary and is designed for organizations, businesses, and individuals. Each volunteer adopting group assumes responsibility for an assigned section of a county park and agrees to participate in park improvements a
minimum of four times per year for a one year renewable period. Marion County will work with the adopting group to select the park or section of a park to be adopted. Some parks may not be considered due to safety concerns.
Marion County Parks takes pride and pleasure in working with a wide array of volunteers for many projects. The fact that our resources are limited makes volunteer efforts that much more valuable to us. Adopt-A-Park is just one more way you can get involved with your local county park and help keep it the enjoyable place to spend time at with your family and friends.
