Sinker Creek Rd: Little Sinker Creek Bridge
The Sinker Creek Road over Little Sinker Creek Bridge is located in public right-of-way 0.2 miles west of North Fork Road in the Santiam River Canyon. The existing bridge is in poor condition and was damaged by the Beachie Creek Fire in 2020. The structure is insufficient to carry local traffic to several parcels that are accessed beyond the creek.
The County has received State funding from the Legislature through House Bill 5202 (passed in 2022) to replace the damaged bridge. The proposed bridge will be constructed adjacent to the existing bridge and the road will be open during construction with intermittent delays. Construction is expected to occur during the Summer of 2025. The new structure will meet current AASHTO and ODOT standards for load capacity and bridge rail.
