Four Corners Safe Routes To School
Concept drawing Survey
Marion County has received an ODOT grant for safety improvements along Elma Ave, in Salem, OR, which includes frontage improvements to Four Corners Elementary School. A RRFB crosswalk will be installed on State Street, east of Elma Av, creating a new crosswalk location for children and increasing the safety for students crossing this urban arterial. A new walkway and sidewalk infill will be constructed on the east side of Elma Av. Enhanced safety measures such as high-visibility signing and striping will also be installed at Elma and Mahrt. Traffic calming measures will be constructed at the intersections near the school- at Elma & Beck and Elma & Durbin.
