Recycle and Dispose of Paint
Paint products are accepted at the curb and at
PaintCare drop-off facilities.
Curbside Recycling
The following materials are accepted at the curb in the special recycling bin (where available, 2 can limit per week)
Interior and Exterior Architectural Paints:
- Latex
- acrylic
- water-based
- alkyd
- oil-based
- enamel (all types of finishes)
PaintCare Facilities
The following materials are accepted at
PaintCare drop-off facilities.

Waterproofing concrete/masonry/wood sealers and repellents (not tar-based or bitumen-based

The following are not accepted in the paint recycling program:
NO - Rusty cans
NO - Hardened paint
NO - Hazardous waste (Please drop off at the
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility)
Purchase Recycled Paint
If you would still like to use recycled paint for your next project, Metro recycled paint comes in a variety of colors (see their website for examples). Prices depend on color and quantity. Please call ahead for availability.
Another option is to visit your local ReStore to see if there is any used paint for sale.
