Our vital statistics team can provide certified copies of birth and death records for events that occur in Marion County. We are able to provide certified copies for births or deaths that have occurred within six months of your request. Certificates for births or deaths that have occurred more than six months from the date of your request are handled by the State of Oregon Vital Records.
$25 per certified copy (fee is non-refundable once a search for the record is completed, per OAR 333-011-0340(1)).
You must provide proof of identity.
Only the person named on the record, immediate family members, legal representatives and government agencies are eligible to access birth records. For all others, access to birth records is restricted for 100 years (in accordance with ORS 432.380).
Only immediate family members, legal representatives, government agencies, and persons with a personal or property right are eligible to access death records. For all others, access to death records is restricted for 50 years (in accordance with ORS 432.380).
