Children's Behavioral Health (CBH) provides general outpatient mental health services to youth ages 0-17 years and their families, who are Medicaid eligible. We offer a range of services, including a variety of evidence based therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT/CBT), Solution Focus Therapy, and Motivational Interview, to address anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, and many other symptoms.
Beginning April 28, 2025, Marion County Children's Behavioral Health will temporarily pause Same Day Access (SDA) intakes in its Salem and Woodburn offices. If you'd like to schedule an intake, please make sure we receive your completed packet no later than 11 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025.
This only impacts intakes; services will continue to be offered for currently enrolled individuals.
This difficult decision was made due to limited staffing and the need to maintain sustainable service. We will review the situation on a regular basis and reopen as soon as we're able to continue meeting the community's needs.
If we have your intake packet on file and the pause is lifted, we will contact you to confirm whether you're still interested in services.
We will update this webpage once we resume scheduling intake appointments. In the meantime, please contact PacificSource for help identifying other mental health services options.
Please note that WRAP and EASA intakes are not affected by this pause.
We appreciate your understanding during this time.

Family involvement is strongly emphasized and is a vital component to the treatment process. We are mindful of the interconnectedness of individuals with their environment, including families, schools, and communities. Everyone in service has an individualized service plan addressing their specific needs while being trauma and culturally informed. A major focus of treatment of CBH includes assisting youth and their families with improving relationships, reducing behavioral, and/or mental health symptoms, and developing the skills needed to make positive life decisions.
Our therapists integrate a trauma informed lens while providing treatment. We offer the following therapeutic services:
- Mental health assessment
- Psychotherapy (individual and family)
- Group therapy
- Skills training (individual and group)
- Psychiatric assessment and medication management
- Case management
- Consultation
- Peer support services
Bilingual Spanish services are available and interpreter support is available for many other languages.
