Child Attending School
If your support order requires support for a child between 18 and 21, as long as the child is attending school, the obligee or child will be required to notify the Division of Child Support that the child is attending school each term, and in most cases, provide the paying parent a consent form for the parent to use to contact the school if they choose. A child must be regularly attending school and enrolled as a l/2 time student or more. Support continues through summer vacation unless otherwise ordered. If you feel a child no longer qualifies for child attending school, please submit a written objection to our office. If you have further questions, please submit those in writing to our office or you may contact a private attorney.
