Marion County mails approximately 124,000 property tax statements each year. The statements are mailed between October 15 and October 25 to each property owner in the county. If you do not receive your statement by November 1, call the Tax Department at (503) 588-5215. Property tax payments must be credited to the earliest year that taxes are due. Property taxes may be paid in installments using one of the following schedules:
Full Payment
Pay the Full Payment amount on or before November 15 and receive a 3% discount on the current year's tax amount.
Two Thirds Payment
Pay the two thirds payment amount on or before November 15 and receive a 2% discount on the amount of current year tax paid. The final one-third payment is due by May 15.
One Third Payment
Pay the one third payment amount on or before November 15. There is no discount. The second one-third payment is due by February 15, and the final one-third payment is due by May 15.
Payment by mail
Marion County encourages property owners to pay their taxes by mail. When paying by mail, please return the lower portion of your tax statement(s) with your payment using the enclosed envelope. Do not send cash through the mail. Write your account number(s) on the front of your check to ensure proper credit. Your cancelled check is your receipt. Please mail property tax payments to:

Payments mailed to this address are processed by payment processing center for Marion County. Be sure to mail your payment early enough to be postmarked on or before November 15. Payments postmarked after the due date lose all discounts and are charged interest.

Payment in Person
Payments in person may be brought to the Tax Collection office during regular business hours. There are two drop boxes available for after hours payments. The boxes are located at the main entrance to Courthouse Square at 555 Court Street NE and in the second floor elevator lobby of Courthouse Square.
