    DEPUTIES SEARCHING FOR MISSING HIKER NEAR OPAL CREEK TRAILHEAD (PHOTO) *UPDATE*

    *UPDATE*

    Mr. Webb has been located and is safe. Opal Creek Trailhead and U.S.F.S. Road 2209 are now OPEN

    Last night, 7/24/20 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Stephon Sherer who reported his friend Kelly Webb had wandered off the trail.

    Kelly Webb is a white male adult, who is 39 years old, 6’ tall, 230 lbs, short brown hair with a goatee and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black tank top, blue jeans, and had a grey backpack.

    Opal Creek Trailhead is CLOSED at this time along with U.S.F.S. Road 2209. Deputies with our Search and Rescue Teams are currently on scene and asking everyone to stay out of the area for the duration of the search for Mr. Webb.

    Anyone who may have seen Mr. Webb or know his current location are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-588-5032.
