    COVID-19 Update 4-6-2020

    ​Today (Monday, April 6, 2020), the Oregon Health Authority announced 64 new positive cases of COVID-19. This brings the statewide total to 1,132 with 209 positive cases in Marion County.

    We are saddened to report Marion County’s fifth and sixth deaths. Marion County’s fifth COVID-19 death is a 65-year-old man who tested positive on March 26, 2020, and died on April 2, 2020, at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. He had underlying medical conditions. The county’s sixth COVID-19 death is a 70-year-old female, who tested positive on April 1 and died April 2, in her residence. She had underlying medical conditions. We send our deepest condolences to these families during this difficult time.

    Due to reporting times, the following Marion County data reflects more than what was announced by OHA:

    Marion County cases: 
    Positive = 210
    Negative = 1,837
    Hospitalized = 64
    Deaths = 7

    Age Ranges:
    0 to 19 = 1
    20 to 29 = 22
    30 to 39 = 36
    40 to 49 = 36
    50 to 59 = 31
    60 to 69 = 41
    70 to 79 = 25
    80 and over = 18
