Today (Monday, April 6, 2020), the Oregon Health Authority announced 64 new positive cases of COVID-19. This brings the statewide total to 1,132 with 209 positive cases in Marion County.
We are saddened to report Marion County’s fifth and sixth deaths. Marion County’s fifth COVID-19 death is a 65-year-old man who tested positive on March 26, 2020, and died on April 2, 2020, at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. He had underlying medical conditions. The county’s sixth COVID-19 death is a 70-year-old female, who tested positive on April 1 and died April 2, in her residence. She had underlying medical conditions. We send our deepest condolences to these families during this difficult time.
