Section of St. Louis Road to Close for Railroad Crossing Replacement

    Posted by: Public Works

Beginning Friday, April 28, 2017, St. Louis Road will be closed from approximately 1,000 feet west of the Portland & Western Railroad crossing to approximately 1,000 feet east of the crossing.  During the road closure, Portland & Western Railroad will replace the existing crossing, and Marion County will reconstruct the adjacent roadway.  The road closure is located between Manning Road NE and the St Louis Road / I-5 overpass.

During the closure, a signed detour utilizing Manning Road NE and Keene Road NE will be in place.  Road work associated with the road closure is expected to be completed no later than June 15, 2017.  Motorists should expect the road work to continue after the road is opened to traffic, with flaggers directing traffic through the work area.  Access to St. Louis Fish Ponds County Park will remain open throughout construction from St. Louis Road on the east side of the railroad crossing, coming from Gervais.

For additional information, contact Ken Karnosh, Project Inspector, or Steve Preszler, Project Engineer at (503) 588-5036.
