SALEM, OR – After a brief delay, Marion County is scheduled to begin construction on Silverton Road from approximately 300 feet west of Cordon Road to approximately 950 feet east of Lardon Road. Construction will begin April 14, 2017, with work scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2017. Depending on the weather, this completion date may be modified. This construction will include: extending the eastbound right turn lane; replacing the sidewalk ramps; and, applying an asphalt overlay. The road will remain open during construction with flaggers directing traffic through the work area. Motorist should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
