SALEM, OR – After a brief delay, Marion County is scheduled to begin construction on Silverton Road from approximately 300 feet west of Cordon Road to approximately 950 feet east of Lardon Road. Construction will begin April 14, 2017, with work scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2017. Depending on the weather, this completion date may be modified. The work will be performed by Knife River Corporation, which is responsible for the construction schedule.
This construction will include: extending the eastbound right turn lane; replacing the sidewalk ramps; and, applying an asphalt overlay. The road will remain open during construction with flaggers directing traffic through the work area. Motorist should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Marion County and Knife River Corporation appreciate your patience during construction. Please obey posted construction signs and remember the flaggers are there for your protection.
