Buena Vista Ferry Is Back In Service After Coast Guard Inspection

    Posted by: Public Works

The Buena Vista Ferry reopens today after being closed for six weeks for a required five-year hull inspection by the U.S. Coast Guard. During this time, the ferry was removed from the water for the inspection, which also allowed crews to clean, paint, and perform maintenance duties. Additionally, the Willamette River was dredged to maintain a clear operating path for the ferry.

The U.S. Coast Guard has given approval for the ferry to resume operation and dredging has been completed, so today the ferry will resume operating its normal schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week.
